On Wednesday, August 24th, join Professor Jonathan Todres and Dr. Mark Hatzenbuehler, members of the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine Committee on the Biological and Psychosocial Effects of Peer Victimization: Lessons for Bullying Prevention, to learn more about a new report, Preventing Bullying Through Science, Policy, and Practice.

In this webinar, Professor Todres and Dr. Hatzenbuehler will review some of the committee’s findings, conclusions, and recommendations pertaining to the role of laws and policies in responding to and preventing bullying among youth.

Global Bullying Prevention Meetings Highlight the OLWEUS Bullying Prevention Program
The Olweus Bullying Prevention Program continues to take center stage in the worldwide effort to prevent bullying.

 

Preparation is underway for an upcoming report by the Office of the Special Representative of the Secretary-General on Violence Against Children that will serve as a basis document for the General Assembly's " global recommendations against bullying " to be issued in United Nation's (UN) 71st session in fall 2016.

Middle school holds talk on bullying, sexting
NORWICH – An informational discussion for parents was held last week at the Norwich Middle School, where the school’s bullying prevention program was explained and a New York State Police Investigator discussed the dangers of cyberbullying and sexting.
